What is Archival Framing?

Archival Framing is the process of displaying your work with archival materials and methods that allow the artwork to be preserved and protected as much as possible that can be easily reversed. This includes materials life acid-free & lignin-free matboard and backing board, UV-filtering glass, and proper mounting techniques for that particular work of art.

Ancillaerie only uses archival matting and backing on every piece of artwork that is custom framed. Our matboards include the entire line of Crescent & Bainbridge Brand products. We also offer a variety of UV-filtering glass such as Conservation Clear® , Conservation Reflection Control®, Museum Glass®, and Optium Museum Acrylic®.

We will never offer you an inferior quality frame. All of our moulding is made of solid wood. We never offer plastic or MDF moulding.
